Most of this week was centered around the progress and presentation of our World War II letter-writing projects. I had chosen to study the area of poetry utilized in all sorts of contexts conveyed through letters, and I still have yet to present it to the class. I sure look forward to doing so.

On Tuesday, October 8th, the class was not held specifically for a typical session, due to the means of providing time for us to continue formulating and reaching a finishing point in their project (whether by paper, presentation, or both). I took advantage of this time and even had the pleasure of meeting with Julia again to re-discuss my topic and gather more guidance in the direction of my writing specifically. Regardless of no scheduled class, it served as a very productive and necessary day.

On Thursday, October 10th, the class resumed being held as per usual, however, this day was reserved for (most of the class) to present their PechaKucha’s along with oral presentations in sharing their analysis. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about my peer’s findings and seeing the variety of ideas, styles, designs, and verbiage throughout. I felt this strategy of presenting to a group of people is an efficient way to keep people engaged and observant.
