This week, we focused primarily on the form of storytelling through a collection of letters, known as epistolary novels. We explored a variety of plots and their purposes through different stories which we previewed our presentation styles using.

On Tuesday, October 1st, as a class, we listened to the audio version of a book called Address Unknown. It was a touching and romantic tale between two lovers, conversing long distances through a series of letters from one to another. Later that evening, I had the pleasure of meeting with Julia to discuss the progress and decisions I had in mind for our upcoming paper and presentation related to WWII. By the end of our insightful and encouraging brainstorming session, I had gathered much guidance and help in choosing to explore the world of poetry through letters in the WWII era (rhetoric perhaps?).

On Thursday, October 3rd, we discussed in smaller groups the epistolary stories by Emma Donoghue that each of us chose to read and present in from of the class. This helped us practice the format we would soon be presenting our projects in and provided some relief in becoming more familiar. I presented with a few other classmates on the story Onward and felt that regarding our circumstances, the process was successful.
